  1. The only issue which I face while relying on smartphones camera as my main film making tool is that of stabilization, and to address that issue I use a DJI OM 5 which is my favourite gear at present, it does wonder to my contact and a small investment on good gimbal takes your content to unprecedented hights.

  2. my favorite would be the main lense because it gives us a better quality image, applying a new set of lenses would definitely step-up my mobile filmmaking whether it would be a wide, fish-eye and even macro set of lenses.

  3. During this year I've bought some extra hardware and gear for photography and for filmmaking. And I have to say that my favorite piece of extra gear is my gimbal. It levels up the mood and the rhythm of the camera movements, also, when shooting time-lapses. But it's not the only one. Getting a kit of extra lenses and filters for my smartphone was a terrific decision! Why? It expands more your main sensor's possibilities! Because you can use a macro lens or an ultra wide lens to "play" with the different effects you can get by changing them but with the great advantage of not losing the highest image quality your phone's main sensor can deliver to you. And not forgetting filters! Filters are also very useful tools! While taking long exposure photos, ND filters are a must-have or also for shooting at a constant frame rate and shutter speed. And I also can say that CPL filters are so cool to get the most vivid colors while shooting, because of their capability to reduce reflexions on surfaces and so.

  4. For me, sensor size mattered most in Mobile Filmmaking. Because if you want to tell a story, having a great sensor that gives you a shallow depth of field, makes it more compelling for your audience to show what story you want to tell.

Given aside the size and weight, or the lenses of the phone. Sensor Size is a hardware that cannot be made adjustments. Unlike for the size and weight. There are many ways to counterpart it, like by using gimbals to make it more stabilized, or by learning and practicing different handheld shot techniques. The lenses could also be solved by adding additional "external" lens to the phone itself. And it has a variety of choices depending on what framing you want to get. You may also stick to one lens (the main lens of the phone) and make your preferred framing out of that, as said in the video.

So for me, it's the sensor size in a smartphone that we should considered in terms of Mobile Filmmaking.

  5. For me, Mobile Filmmaking is now very useful when it comes to making a videos or a films because people nowadays always bring their phones wherever they go and that's a huge leap to be able to capture some moments you want to share without using any expensive and bulky traditional cameras. Using your mobile to make a film is so easy by using your camera app and clicking the record icon or the pro mode if you have one in the settings and it is also easy to carry or put in your pocket all the time unlike traditional cameras. Many mobile filmmakers use their mobile phones to create films like music videos or for vloggings to create a contents.
Being creative is the key to tell your stories and bring your ideas to life ♥😍

  6. As for this Lesson 3 Xiaomi Studios and Sundance Collab have recently released, What i really love about this episode are the different Gears and Functions of Smartphone Mobile filmmaking. One of my favorite Gears and functions of smartphone mobile filmmaking is First, the Size and weight because it is one of the aspects that dictates the camera movements when shooting on a mobile camera to the process of filming. As Mr. Luis Guanzon a filmmaker on Baltimore Maryland says, we can put camera almost everywhere we want. Also, it is ease on handling when shooting on a camera phone especially on set. A camera that weighs less, is more comfortable and more organic. My second favorite Gears and functions of mobile filmmaking is the sensor size, because it determines the different depth of field when shooting. As Mr. Steven Senshan says that lenses are so compact and so close to the sensor, The shallow depth of field and the very short focusing distances can allow close ups and macro shots look very cinematic on a phone. It also works well when there is a small subject on the foreground and a distant background. The third favorite thing that I've learned on this video is the Lenses or framing, because it is one of the most important functions needed in order to have a better Quality and outcome when it comes to mobile filming. Also, as Mr. Steven says, There's Normally one lens that either produces the best quality or has the most filmmaking options. What Mr. Steven means is that it is normally the main lens on a phone that gives the best quality. There's also two ways or techniques how to use it, One is by sticking to the wide lens or the best lens and adjusting all of the framing around it. The second one is by using additional lenses. For example, getting a certain looks like fisheye or cinematic compression. It is clearly known how versatile the main lens can be on a phone and one thing is for sure, it's all about trying it all out and see what's best and what's fit for the Users/Photographers/Filmmakers.

  7. for me, the pair of gimbal and wide lense feature have such good relationship in my mobile filmmaking experience. There's soo much motion involved in shooting videos specially when the lenses are exposed to more objects. Being able to stabilize the elements and control the view, perspective and interpretation of each scene with a gimbal is a mobile filmmaker's dream.

  8. Using Redmi note 8 pro max. The 64mp is literally like 2 mp post upgrade. MI has certainly spoilt most of their device with software update. God save them!

  9. Mobile Filmmaking for me it's means a new way of filming now that smartphone camera technology is really improving and innovating. You can dream to become a filmmaker without equipments, you can shoot videos In the palm of your hand and put it in your pocket. In camera lens of a smart phone you can express your ideas, creativity and yourself as a filmmaker, it's becoming trend of other film makers to shoot only on smartphones and now Xiaomi really proves that they will put magic on cinematography and create CINEMAGIC with the Xiaomi 11T Pro
